Hardware
To use My Ching you need a PC laptop or desktop computer with one of the following operating systems:
- Windows XP or Windows 7/8/10
- Linux Mint or Ubuntu Linux
Screen Resolution
It is recommended that the screen resolution be at a minimum of 1024 x 768 pixels.
CPU Type
For Windows OS you can install My Ching on a PC with either a 64-bit or a 32-bit CPU.
For Linux OS you can currently only install My Ching on a PC with a 64-bit CPU.
Install Package
To obtain My Ching go to the myching.software website and click on Download in the main menu.

Then follow these instructions depending on whether your computer is running a Windows or Linux OS.
On a Windows PC
On the Download page, find the Windows section and click on the download link appropriate for your machine's CPU. (32 bit or 64 bit) Most modern PC's purchased after 2005 can run the 64-bit version. If you have Windows XP, there is a possibility that your computer might be an older 32-bit system, in which case you need to download the 32-bit version.
CPU bit check
If you are not sure whether your Windows system is 64-bit or 32-bit, do the following:
Open a command prompt from the program menu, type the following command and hit the Return key:

If it replies with AMD64 is means you have a 64-bit system, and if it replies with X86, your system is 32-bit. If in doubt, use the 32-bit version because it works on any system.
On a Linux PC
On the Download page, find the Linux section and right click on the link to the shell script install_my_ching.sh and save it to a folder somewhere.
Subscriptions
A trial version of My Ching with a limited feature set, can be downloaded from the myching.software website. With the purchase of a software subscription you can upgrade to the full feature set for periods of 1, 2 or 5 years.
